Interested in presenting at the NCHA?
The University of North Carolina Honors College is proud to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2017 North Carolina Honors Association (NCHA) Conference. This year’s conference will be held on the UNC Charlotte main campus and at the uptown Center City building. The conference is scheduled for Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, 2017. Featured activities will include City as Text™ in uptown Charlotte, a welcome dinner, a Transfer Summit, Honors Research Awards with cash prizes, and more!
Theme:
Proposals that reflect a wide variety of themes are welcome; however, we are particularly interested in topics that address the conference theme of “Crossing Borders. Building Bridges.” Examples include:
- Diversity and Inclusivity
- Global Citizenship
- Intercultural Relations
- Interdisciplinary Learning
- Connections and Collaborations
- Community Engagement
Individual Presentation: Individual presenters will be grouped into three-person panels based on a shared topic. Each presenter will speak for approximately 15 minutes in order to allow time for discussion at the end.
Poster: Poster presentations will occur during a designated time slot.
Submission:
Interested presenters should submit a proposal using the form below by the submission deadline of 11:59 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017. Proposals may be submitted after that date, but will only be considered if space is available. On the online form, please indicate if you would like your presentation/poster to be considered for an Honors Research Award. All those who submit proposals will receive a decision on or before September 15, 2017.
